To the Class of 2021, welcome to Nazareth! The transition from grade school to high school can be challenging if you don’t know how to properly utilize your resources. Here are some tips for you to have a successful first year of high school!
- Study. Study. Study. You may not think freshman year matters, but the grades you have this year will determine the classes you take for the next four years.
- Quizlet will be your best friend. Check up to see if previous students make study sets for your upcoming tests.
- Go to the after-school World Civ review by Mr. Marchese. You won’t regret it.
- Join a new club or sport! High school is a great opportunity to realize what your true passion is.
- If you are struggling in one or more of your classes, go to NHS for tutoring.
- Take part in all the Nazareth traditions. Snowball, Spirit Day, Naz-A-Thon, to name a few. You only experience high school once, so make the most of it!
- Time management is crucial. Sign up for after-school activities that you can invest in and be dedicated to for four years. Don’t spread yourself out so thin that you can’t balance anything at all.
- Popularity isn’t everything. Always stay true to who you are, and don’t change your personality to please others. Believe me when I say it really isn’t worth it.
