- What is your fall sport and how long have you been playing it for?
My fall sport is cross country and I’ve been doing it since my freshman year at Nazareth.
2. What is your favorite thing about cross country?
I really love running with all my teammates and the special friendships I have formed with the girls on the team.
3. What was your biggest accomplishment so far with cross country?
My biggest accomplishment while on the team would have to be winning the PCL championship back-to-back and participating in states.
4. Were you ever considering another fall sport besides cross country?
I was considering volleyball, but my parents and I decided cross country would be better, since I did track in grade school.
5. Will you be participating in any other sports this year?
Yes, I will be swimming in the winter and running track in the spring.
6. Have you hit any roadblocks during this season?
This season went pretty smoothly for me, but my sophomore year I was still coming back from an injury, so it was harder for me to adjust.
7. What do you think is the most difficult part of cross country?
Obviously cross country takes a lot of energy and physical strength, but I think mentally it is the most difficult. It is easy to beat yourself up after a bad race and have a negative mindset, but a positive and grateful mindset can change that.
8. Do you have any advice for girls that would like to join the cross country team at Nazareth?
I would say to work hard and not give up after the first practice because over time you will get the hang of things.
9. Will you be running cross country in college?
I’m not sure about cross country yet, but I am running track in college.
10. What was your favorite memory from this year’s season?
My favorite memory was brunch at my coach Paul’s house.
