As of the day this article was written, January 30th, there are 66 days until the big day, and there are so many things you can still do to be involved with Naz-A-Thon. Many dine-outs are coming up, such as Friendly’s on February 7th, Chick-fil-A on February 12th, On the Border on March 19th, and so many more to be scheduled. There are also events like our 3v3 tournament with Holy Ghost Prep on March 1st, a Zumba Night with a TBD date, and Change Wars starting on February 29th.
If you’re new here, Naz-A-Thon is a 12-hour Miracle Dance Network that raises awareness and funds for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Naz-A-Thon has donated to many departments, such as Child Life, Autism Integrated Care, Oncology, and so many more. Every year, Naz-A-Thon donates to the Child Life Department, as this department relies heavily on donations to help make a child’s experience more welcoming and make the families feel welcome. This year, Naz-A-Thon is donating to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Acquired Autonomic Dysfunction Program, and the Child Life department. Since Naz-A-Thon started in 2014, we have raised over 1 million dollars for CHOP.
Interested in joining? It’s never too late. You can email Cate Lamplugh, the Senior Director of Operations, at [email protected]. There are nine different committees to choose from, and you will surely find the one for you.
With April 5th quickly approaching, the Naz-A-Thon executives are busy at work in room 213. Feel free to stop in with any questions, and any executive or our moderator, Mrs. Sylvester, will gladly help you. #4TK
