After an amazing season that ended in States, basketball is back and better than ever. While they lost a big part of the team, Captain Jenna Garzone, the girls picked up right where they left off last season. With hopes of getting farther in the PCL, the girls work hard every day to strengthen as a team.
On December 5th, Nazareth played their first game of the season at Agnes Irwin. It was quite a nail-biter of a game, as they had to go into overtime when the 4th quarter ended. Starting overtime, Rileigh Donohoe ’25 gave the pandas 3 points. As the clock wound down, the panadas were able to sneak by Agnes Irwin. Rileigh’s 3 points allowed the pandas to keep a comfortable lead through overtime, ending with a win and a final score of 47-46.
The pandas are starting off the season strong with a 1-0 record, hoping this will give them the confidence to make a statement in the Philadelphia Catholic League.
